What type of pets do you care for?
Why should I use Animal Nannies instead of boarding my pet at a kennel?
Only you can decide what is best for your pet. But, our experience has shown that the familiar, personalized attention we can provide has lots of benefits. These include:
- Reduced stress – Your pet remains in their own familiar, secure setting.
- Diet and Exercise – A normal diet and routine are followed. Daily walks are part of our service. Exercise serves as a mischief deterrent and is good for your dogs health. It is also an important way to alleviate separation anxiety.
- Health and Well-being – Less exposure to illness of other animals when your pet stays in its own environment.
- Loving Care – Your pet receives personalized attention and love while you are away. Peace of Mind – You can enjoy time away from home knowing your pet is being cared for by a professional who will put your pet’s needs first.
I have friends or family who would probably look after my pets. Why should I bother with a professional pet sitter/dog walker?
Why use a pet sitter for regular walks instead of something like a doggie day care? Like all of us, pets have established routines that are vital to their emotional and physical well-being. Having us drop-in and walk/exercise/play with your pet allows these routines to stay intact. Also, with us, you know what you are getting: individualized, one on one attention. If you are concerned that your pet may need more socialization, we are able to arrange and facilitate play dates between our clients.

Yes! We are all experienced in administering pills, drops, ointments, and subcutaneous injections.
What if there is an emergency and my Animal Nanny can’t make it at the last minute? We cross train all of our staff. So, while you may have a regular Nanny, there will always be at least one other person who has met and been trained on working with your pet, so they can help out if there is an emergency.
What if my pet suffers from separation anxiety? Many pets experience separation anxiety, and this is definitely something that you should discuss with your vet. We have found that having a constant, such as an Animal Nanny dropping in for daily visits, decreases anxiety. And, we are pet owners, too. We know that it takes time to gain an animal’s trust. We are patient. We earn that trust.
